Baby items and swaps

It's been a busy few weeks. I haven't touched based even though I promised I would do so at a more regular basis. Who knew that work and having a family would be so time consuming?

I've been busy during my lunch and when the kid is sleeping with all sorts of projects. A few have been collaborative. There have been several knitted squares for friends and a baby blanket knit by my local SNB for a fellow member. When I think about these projects, it makes me very happy. Obviously, that there are new little people coming into this world. But one of my saving graces over the past few years have been the people I've met at my knitting clubs or online through my due date group. There is something so magical and grounding about having friends and a social outlet. It is only made better by having similar interest, though my wallet and increasing yarn stash would beg to differ.

One of the most recent desires is to knit the Principesa Dress from the Sexy Knitter. I am looking for an alternative to the yarn she wrote the pattern with due to cost. But, it's a beautiful dress and hopefully an inspiration for my continued weightloss. Thus far, I have been able to shed about fifteen pounds since November, which makes me smaller than I was when I got pregnant for my son. The goal keeps moving back but the overall feeling of healthy is evident.

So below are a few recently finished items and the yarn for my dress.
